A message for parents...

Hi Mums and Dads,

My name is Allen Langer the JCA Programme Director. For 10 summers I worked on a Jewish summer camp in Pennsylvania as a counselor and Unit Leader. Since coming to Camp America in 1989 I have worked on the insurance and visa team. Most importantly I am also a parent of two sons. My eldest son worked on a JCC camp for three summers and my youngest son did one summer. As a parent I understand all the worries and concerns you as a fellow parent may have (I went through them myself). Even though all JCA applicants are considered legal adults (they all must be 18+ to partake on the programme) we understand that the parents can play a large role in all aspects of your child's application and placement (including payments that may be coming from the bank of Mom and Dad).

So let us put your mind at ease:

• Jewish Camp America is part of the Camp America Cultural exchange organization. Camp America is the largest, most established and ONLY US Jewish camp recruiter that is designated by the US government to recruit applicants to work on children’s summer camps
• JCA offers a full flights inclusive package that includes flights, insurance and a 24 hour support service while in the USA
• Participants can choose the 'No flights Camp America' Package that gives the participant the freedom to book their own flights, insurance and earn higher pocket money rates and pay less fees
• For those who opt for the full package JCA arranges all travel to the USA including flights, first night accommodation in NY and in most cases staff placed on the same camp travel together
• Most experienced UK support team available. Every member of the JCA and Camp America support team have all worked at camp
